Tada Sensei, a student of Ueshiba O-Sensei and founder Aikikai of Italy, an association which is affiliated with the Aikikai Dojo Catania

Hiroshi Tada was born in Tokyo on December 14 1929 by a family belonging to the class of Samurai, who from 1245 lived in the island of Tsushima Izuhara. His father, Minoru Tada, his work as director and his grandfather, Tsunetaro Tada, and was president judge of the court. The mother, in Chizu Arai Tada, Kentaro Arai was the daughter of Vice-President of Suumitsuin (the Emperor's Privy Council). In 1952 he graduated in law from Waseda University. On 15 November 1970 at the Central Dojo in Rome, celebrated his marriage with Kumi Yamakawa, a professional violinist who graduated from the Tokyo Daigaku Geijutsu. In 1971 the family Tada blessed by the birth of his son Takemaru, currently attends the doctoral research at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Waseda. The master Tada resides in Tokyo, even though his commitments with the Aikido in Europe often took him throughout the year.


As a child the teacher Tada made contact with the traditional martial arts studying with his father, a style of archery (Hekiryu-Chirurinha Bampi) handed down for generations in his family. On 4 March 1950, during his university career, he joined the Ueshiba Dojo (Hombu Dojo today) and began to practice Aikido under the guidance of its founder, the Great Master Morihei Ueshiba. At the same time he began to study a series of practices to unify and harmonize the mind and body, under the guidance of Tempu Nakamura, and at the dojo Ichikukai place where spiritual practices. A year later he made for the first time in the practice of fasting (danjiki) for three weeks at the Zen temple Hojuji. While finishing his studies he decided to devote himself exclusively to Aikido and historical research in the field of martial arts. Was soon appointed instructor Hombu Dojo, the Ministry of Defence, and a number of important University Aikido Club.

On October 26, 1964 left for Italy to spread Aikido and began working as a teacher at the dojo of the State Monopoly. This period is unflagging in his teaching and promotion in several European countries, and is also called by the Ministry of the Interior to conduct courses at the School of Public Safety of Neptune. In 1966 he founded the Italian National Academy of Aikido - Aikikai of Italy. Teaching continues unabated in several Italian cities. In August 1968, held the first international training in Aikido at the Venice Lido that will be followed continuously with an annual summer internship of great attraction for the European Aikido. In 1976, after meeting with Reverend Shoken Murai responsible for the Zen temple in Tokyo Gessoji Gessoji founded the Aikido Dojo.

On January 15, 1994 he was awarded the Budo Koroshi (recognition of merit for the activities carried out in the field of martial arts). On August 3, 1996 is off the arms of family Mrs. Tada in Kumi Yamakawa. Famous violinist and refined poet, Mrs. Tada has followed with great dedication, the growth of countless young musicians and aikido, which she loved so much. After this great loss, the Master Tada stated the desire to focus its energies on the development and dissemination of the practice of aikido in Japan and in Europe.

Master Hiroshi Tada is currently 9th Dan Aikido, is Director of Studies and Vice-President of the Association of Traditional Japanese Culture - Aikikai of Italy, a member of the Higher Council of the International Federation Aikido, Instructor of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo Japan and Head Instructor of the Aikido club at Waseda University and the University of Tokyo (Kiren Kai) and other affiliated aikido dojo Tada Juku.
